Standard lessons last 50 minutes and standard classes consist of two lessons with a ten minute break between them (i.e. 110 minutes including a 10 minute break). For those that require classes of a shorter duration. Panda will add a RMB30 supplementary fee on top of the class fee, which will be charged as a percentage of the standard class duration.

The full cost of your chosen course must be paid in one lump sum within 7 days of signing the course contract.

Payments can be made via Chinese cash, bank transfer, bank cards, Alipay and WeChat. For those that require payment by an international credit card, Panda will extra charge 3% of the total expense.

Lessons are taught in Mandarin Chinese (Mandarin course/English course/Japanese course) and English (Mandarin course/English course) as standard. If you wish to be taught Mandarin with another secondary language, please contact us to determine the supplementary fee.

A course schedule must be agreed upon before the course begins. Thereafter, a Panda representative must approve of alterations to this course schedule.

If students cancel a lesson less than 4 hours in advance then students will still have to pay for a full tuition of the lesson(s) which he/she booked. Similarly, if Panda cancels a lesson less than 4 hours in advance then students can request their choice of a free replacement lesson or a reimbursement for the value of the reserved lesson(s). The cancellation time should be during 9 am to 9 pm.

All lessons will be suspended during National Chinese Public Holidays.

Your choice. Panda's teachers are happy to provide lessons in the students' office, home, or at one of Panda's three schools. A reasonable transportation fee will be additionally charged if the teaching place which you request is far away Panda school and/or subway station. The details are as follow:

Only those students who choose private courses may be subject to an additional transportation fee.

The Transportation Fee consists of a Location fee and a Distance fee.

The Location Fee and the Distance Fee will be charged separately.

If the teaching location is over 30 km from the center of Shanghai City, extra Transportation Fee will be calculated case by case.

• Student(s) may transfer a part or all of the lessons to his/her spouse, children and parents without incurring any extra charge.
• Student(s) may transfer all the remaining lessons a specific person who is not a “family member”. 3% lesson transfer service fee will be extra charged.

• Standard Teaching hours for Panda are between 09:00 and 21:00. A supplementary fee will be charged for any lessons that take place before 09:00 or after 21:00

• Student(s) may transfer a part or all of the lessons to his/her spouse, children and parents without incurring any extra charge.
• Student(s) may transfer all the remaining lessons a specific person who is not a “family member”. 3% lesson transfer service fee will be extra charged.

Each new student is entitled to one demo lesson so that they can assess the quality of Panda teaching for themselves.
