Panda Education Free Student Event Report -One-Day Trip to Nanxiang Ancient Town

Location: Nanxiang, an Ancient Town inShanghai with a History of 1,500 Years

Tour Guide: Senior Chinese Language Instructor Mr. Shen Peigao

Panda Education organized ameaningful one-day trip to Nanxiang Ancient Town, aiming to provide our foreign students with a profound experience of traditional Chinese culture.

Led by Instructor Shen Peigao, we first visited the birthplace of Shanghai's famous xiaolongbao - Guyi Garden
restaurant. During lunch, the students indulged in the deliciousness of handmade xiaolongbao, praising its thin skin, juicy filling, and refreshing broth. They eagerly expressed their desire to share this culinary treat with their friends and families.

After lunch, we made our way to GuyiGarden, renowned as one of the four famous gardens in Shanghai. With its beautiful scenery and ancient trees, the garden provided a serene backdrop for the students to appreciate the essence of Chinese garden art under Instructor Shen's insightful commentary.

Later, we explored the 1,500-year-old Nanxiang Ancient Town. The quaint alleys, historical buildings, and rich
cultural heritage captivated the students, who couldn't help but marvel at the profoundness of traditional Chinese culture.

To conclude the trip, Panda Educationpresented each student with a beautiful panda metal bookmark as a gift, symbolizing our encouragement and support for their Chinese language learning journey.

This one-day trip to Nanxiang Ancient Townnot only provided the students with a memorable travel experience but also deepened their understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. We look
forward to organizing more such activities in the future, allowing students to immerse themselves in the charm of Chinese culture in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
