    We believe clear and transparent terms are the foundation of trust. This page explains your rights and the guarantees you have while studying with Panda Education in a straightforward manner.

  • 1. Core Learning Guarantees

    1.1 Long-Term Refund Guarantee

    • Guarantee Period: Within 18 months of your course start date.
    • Refund Calculation: We will refund any remaining tuition on a pro-rata, interest-free basis based on the lessons you have completed.
    • Application Process: Simply contact your Course Consultant, and we will assist you through the entire process efficiently.

    1.2 Flexible Cancellation & Rescheduling

    • To cancel or reschedule a booked lesson, please notify us at least 4 hours in advance (during our operating hours, 9:00-21:00).
    • Cancellations made within this time frame will not deduct any lessons from your package.

    1.3 Teacher Matching & Replacement

    We are committed to matching you with the most suitable certified teacher. If for any reason you wish to change teachers, you can request this at any time, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

  • 2. Lesson Schedule & Arrangement

    2.1 Lesson Duration & Important Notes

    • To ensure the best learning focus and immersion, Panda Education's standard lesson duration is 1 hour.
    • To be completely transparent about our scheduling and resource allocation, please note the following lesson calculation methods:
    • Lessons at a Panda School: All lessons are scheduled and charged in 1-hour units.
    • Lessons Outside Panda Schools: We strongly recommend scheduling lessons in 2-hour blocks for better continuity and learning efficiency. If a single session is scheduled for less than 2 hours, a Lesson Adjustment Fee of RMB30 per session will apply to help balance teacher travel time and resources.

    2.2 Lesson Schedule

    • Your lesson schedule will be mutually agreed upon before the course starts.
    • Any subsequent changes to your fixed schedule require mutual agreement.

    2.3 Language of Instruction

    • The standard languages of instruction are English, Japanese and Chinese.
    • Requests for instruction in other languages may incur additional fees. Please consult your Course Consultant for details.

    2.4 Lesson Location & Transportation Fee

    To ensure efficient use of teacher travel time, a transportation fee, calculated by combining a Base Transportation Fee and an Additional Distance Fee, applies based on the lesson location's zone and proximity to a metro station.

    2.4.1 Free of Charge

    No transportation fee is charged if both of the following conditions are met:

    • The lesson location is within Shanghai's Inner Ring Road.
    • The location is within 1 km of the nearest metro station.

    2.4.2 Fee Structure

    If the location does not meet the above conditions, the fee is calculated as follows:

    Base Transportation Fee (by ring road zone):

    1. Within Inner Ring Road: Free
    2. Between Inner & Middle Ring Roads: RMB20/time
    3. Between Middle & Outer Ring Road: RMB40/time
    4. Beyond Outer Ring Road: RMB80/time

    Additional Distance Fee (from nearest metro station):

    1. Less than 1 km: Free
    2. 1 km to 3 km: RMB24/time
    3. Over 3 km: RMB8/km/time

    2.4.3 Calculation Example

    • Total Transportation Fee = Base Fee + Additional Fee.Example: A lesson location is between the Middle and Outer Ring Roads (Base Fee: ¥40) and is 2 km from the nearest metro station (Additional Fee: ¥24). Total Fee for that session: 40 + 24 = ¥64.
    • For locations more than 30 km from the city center, a specific fee will be quoted by your Course Consultant.

    2.5 Special Scheduling Hours

    • Our teachers and consultants primarily dedicate their time to serving you between 9:00 and 21:00.
    • We can coordinate lessons outside these hours upon request.To ensure these special arrangements are sustainable and to fairly compensate teachers for overtime, a Special Scheduling Fee applies as follows:
    1. Crossing 8:30-9:00 or 21:00-21:30: RMB40/time
    2. Crossing 8:00-8:30 or 21:30-22:00: RMB80/time
    3. Starting before 8:00 or ending after 22:00: RMB120/time

    2.6 Public Holidays

    All lessons are automatically suspended during Chinese public holidays.

  • 3. Fees & Payment Terms

    3.1 Payment Deadline

    The total course fee is due within 7 days of signing the contract, unless otherwise agreed upon in an installment payment plan.

    3.2 Payment Methods

    • We accept payments via Cash, Alipay, WeChat Pay, Bank Transfer, and domestic bank/credit cards.
    • A 3% processing fee applies to payments made with foreign-issued bank or credit cards.

    3.3 Lesson Transfer

    • You may transfer your remaining lessons to your spouse, children, or parents free of charge.
    • For transfers to other individuals, a 3% service fee (based on the value of the transferred lessons) will apply.

  • 4. General & Special Provisions

    4.1 Trial Lesson Fees

    • Chinese, English (Chinese teachers), Japanese (Chinese teachers): Free (30 min)
    • Chinese Cultural Courses: RMB 70 (30 min)
    • English & Japanese (Native teachers): RMB 300 (30 min)

    4.2 Updates to Terms

    We may update these terms from time to time. The revised terms will be posted on our official website.
